I’m hoping this is as deep as it appears in the final game.ĭying Light 2 is coming spring 2020. If you made another, perhaps someone might live or die. The developer lets you know that, if you made one choice, completing a certain task in your current quest would be more difficult. Even though we only see the consequences for one of them at a time, each impacts the narrative in the game and direction of the quest. In the demo, you have several binary choices at key junctions during the quest. Meaningful player choices were the other thing that was amazing to me. You are hacking off limbs and heads easily, but not every enemy will part with them quickly. Along with your block, you have different moves, but the connecting hit seems solid. Modded weapons return in the sequel, and combat seems to receive some new moves as well. The locomotion is so much more dynamic and fluid than the first game. The grappling hook can help you swing like Indiana Jones or reach another area. This creates many paths to reach an objective, and the demo is a showcase for some of the different moves you can use. The buildings you see are crawling with whatever the game calls zombies, and there are multiple floors with multiple entrances. It’s denser, but contains so much more verticality. It’s not a direct route, and that leads to a lot of the amazing you saw in the headline. As you might expect, things go badly, and protagonist, Aiden Caldwell, takes a trip to the Colonel in person. People are barely scraping by and being thirsty is a problem no one can afford. The mission is to convince The Colonel to turn on the water. Of course, it doesn’t matter if you have a giant sandbox of boring, but I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. The 26 minute clip is from the footage shown at Gamescom and E3, and it improves with double the parkour moves and a play area four times greater than the original. Not bloody bad, Techland.Look, I know this isn’t the first time you’ve ridden the hype express for a game, but the latest gameplay demo for Dying Light 2 is something incredible. This has become my favourite free roam zombie game to date and has me constantly itching to jump back in and tool around some more in its playground. With fun traversal mechanics, combat encounters, and agonising choices in the story, it could be very much worth the playtime. Parkour still plays a huge role in its gameplay.ĭying Light 2 Stay Human is a great sequel to a pretty good game.During the day, the zombies are mostly out of sight but at night, they are everywhere.Everything you do will have a consequence that will ripple unto the world around you. All of these will depend on how you make your decision and how you respond to the situations that you are in. Most of its gameplay is similar to that of the first game this time around it will play out more like an RPG with an organic plot that could lead to multiple directions.Set some 15 years before the first game, Dying Light 2 brings you to the “new dark ages,” a time that society is more likely to kill themselves rather than be eaten by the undead. The sequel to the critically-acclaimed open world zombie shooter Dying Light is here to challenge your survival skills once more.

Standing for social, economic, and technological, these factors are meant to help identify opportunities for further research and ultimately solutions to problems many people face. With a topic in mind our group first generate as many SET factors related to alarm clocks and the process of waking up on time as possible. As students with busy schedules and obligations, all four of us were part of love-hate relationships with our alarms clocks, and wanted to try to alleviate some of the difficulty typically experienced getting up in the morning. Throughout the four month span of our course, two other mechanical engineering students, a design student, and I studied the habits and behaviors of various types of individuals in order to ‘reinvent’ the conventional alarm clock. An excerpt from Peter Funch’s 42nd & Vanderbilt, a portrait series where the photographer observes commuters on their way to work at the same NYC street corner over a period of nine yearsĭesign theory and methodology professor Kosa Goucher-Lambert broke up his course into four units, spanning research, to better understand the end user’s behaviors and needs analysis & synthesis, so that we could derive insights based on our research to begin to address the needs of our intended users concept generation, so that our findings could precipitate into as many concrete solutions as possible and prototyping & communication, where we converged onto one solution that we then built into a tangible product. To provide context, human centered design is, as design researcher Donald Norman defines it, “a philosophy, not a precise set of methods, but one that assumes that innovation should start by getting close to users and observing their activities.” Figure 1. At the end of the semester, our project teams presented the customer-focused products, services, and systems we had come up with to address a wide range of subjects, ranging from bicyclist safety, beachfront pollution, to the user experience of flying commercially. By volume, the two largest Cascade volcanoes are the broad shields of Medicine Lake Volcano and Newberry Volcano, which are about 145 cubic miles (600 km 3) and 108 cubic miles (450 km 3) respectively. Twelve volcanoes in the arc are over 10,000 feet (3,000 m) in elevation, and the two highest, Mount Rainier and Mount Shasta, exceed 14,000 feet (4,300 m). Volcanism in the arc began about 37 million years ago however, most of the present-day Cascade volcanoes are less than 2,000,000 years old, and the highest peaks are less than 100,000 years old. The Cascade Arc includes nearly 20 major volcanoes, among a total of over 4,000 separate volcanic vents including numerous stratovolcanoes, shield volcanoes, lava domes, and cinder cones, along with a few isolated examples of rarer volcanic forms such as tuyas. It is also the site of Canada's most recent major eruption about 2,350 years ago at the Mount Meager volcanic complex. Two most recent were Lassen Peak in 1914 to 1921 and a major eruption of Mount St. The Cascade Volcanoes have erupted several times in recorded history. The Cascade Volcanoes are part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, the ring of volcanoes and associated mountains around the Pacific Ocean. Many large, long-runout landslides originating on Cascade volcanoes have inundated valleys tens of kilometers from their sources, and some of the inundated areas now support large populations. Consequently, Mount Rainier is one of the Decade Volcanoes identified by the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth's Interior (IAVCEI) as being worthy of particular study, due to the danger it poses to Seattle and Tacoma. Because the population of the Pacific Northwest is rapidly increasing, the Cascade volcanoes are some of the most dangerous, due to their eruptive history and potential for future eruptions, and because they are underlain by weak, hydrothermally altered volcanic rocks that are susceptible to failure. All could be potentially affected by volcanic activity and great subduction-zone earthquakes along the arc. Some of the major cities along the length of the arc include Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver, and the population in the region exceeds 10,000,000 people. Although taking its name from the Cascade Range, this term is a geologic grouping rather than a geographic one, and the Cascade Volcanoes extend north into the Coast Mountains, past the Fraser River which is the northward limit of the Cascade Range proper. The arc has formed due to subduction along the Cascadia subduction zone. The Cascade Volcanoes (also known as the Cascade Volcanic Arc or the Cascade Arc) are a number of volcanoes in a volcanic arc in western North America, extending from southwestern British Columbia through Washington and Oregon to Northern California, a distance of well over 700 miles (1,100 km). While the volcanoes are generally considered either extinct or dormant, there are at least four volcanoes that have shown seismic activity since 1985. The most active has been Mount Meager massif, a group of volcanic peaks within southwestern British Columbia. Though there have not been any eruptions for more than 2,000 years, Mount Meager was responsible for Canada’s largest volcanic eruption. The other volcanoes with active seismic activity are Mount Garibaldi, Mount Cayley, and Silverthrone Caldera.Oregon, Washington, California, British ColumbiaĤ6★1′1.9″N 121☄5′35.6″W / 46.850528°N 121.759889°W / 46.850528 -121.759889 The volcanic activity has also formed a variety of intrusive igneous rocks, which form as magma cools. The Canadian Cascades were formed as the ancient oceanic Farallon Plate melded into the earth’s mantle and pushed up a volcanic arc. This has caused a substantial fault area, which can cause earthquakes of magnitude 7.0 and beyond. The First Nations people of Vancouver Island tell stories of the 1700 Cascadia Earthquake, which caused a tsunami that struck the west coast of North America and even traveled as far as Japan, flooding both coasts. This earthquake is estimated to have been a magnitude 9.0. Ancient dishes were mentioned in many Javanese inscriptions and historians have succeeded in deciphering some of them. Rice has been an essential staple for Indonesian society, as bas-reliefs of 9th century Borobudur and Prambanan describes rice farming in ancient Java. The ethnic diversity of Indonesian archipelago provides an eclectic combination - mixing local Javanese, Sundanese, Balinese, Minang, Malay and other native cuisine traditions, with centuries worth of foreign contacts with Indian traders, Chinese migrants and Dutch colonials. The diversity ranges from ancient bakar batu or stone-grilled yams and boar practiced by Papuan tribes of eastern Indonesia, to sophisticated contemporary Indonesian fusion cuisine. A rare instance is demonstrated by Javanese cuisine that somewhat has quite a well-documented culinary tradition. Indonesian cuisine has a long history-although most of it is not well-documented, and relied heavily on local practice and oral traditions. Rice farming has a long history in Indonesia. Seven main Indonesian cooking methods are frying, grilling, roasting, dry roasting, sautéing, boiling and steaming.īas-relief of Karmawibhanga of 9th century Borobudur depicts a rice barn and rice plants being infested by mouse pestilence. Most Indonesians favour hot and spicy food, thus sambal, Indonesian hot and spicy chili sauce with various optional ingredients, notably shrimp paste, shallots, and others, is a staple condiment at all Indonesian tables. Indonesian dishes have rich flavours most often described as savory, hot and spicy, and also combination of basic tastes such as sweet, salty, sour and bitter. Indonesian cuisine often demonstrates complex flavour, acquired from certain ingredients and bumbu spices mixture. The Indonesian islands the Moluccas (Maluku), which are famed as "the Spice Islands", also contributed to the introduction of native spices, such as cloves and nutmeg, to Indonesian and global cuisine. Spanish and Portuguese traders brought New World produce even before the Dutch came to colonise most of the archipelago. Additionally, Indonesia's indigenous techniques and ingredients were influenced by India, the Middle East, China, and finally Europe. Throughout its history, Indonesia has been involved in trade due to its location and natural resources. Elements of Chinese cuisine can be seen in Indonesian cuisine: foods such as noodles, meat balls, and spring rolls have been completely assimilated. The cuisines of Eastern Indonesia are similar to Polynesian and Melanesian cuisine. Sumatran cuisine, for example, often has Middle Eastern and Indian influences, featuring curried meat and vegetables such as gulai and curry, while Javanese cuisine is mostly indigenous, with some hint of Chinese influence. Indonesian cuisine varies greatly by region and has many different influences. Indonesia's cuisine may include rice, noodle and soup dishes in modest local eateries to street-side snacks and top-dollar plates. Indonesia has around 5,350 traditional recipes, with 30 of them considered the most important. Many regional cuisines exist, often based upon indigenous culture with some foreign influences. There are a wide variety of recipes and cuisines in part because Indonesia is composed of approximately 6,000 populated islands of the total 17,508 in the world's largest archipelago, with more than 1,300 ethnic groups. Indonesian cuisine is a collection of various regional culinary traditions that formed the archipelagic nation of Indonesia. How do I take care of my black baby’s hair?īabies hair doesn’t need much work. You can start to introduce baby hair products after about six months or whenever you feel her hair is ready for it. Therefore, you only need light oils such as coconut oil, sweet almond oil, olive oil, and jojoba oil. Most infant and newborn hair are still soft, since the hair itself is only a few weeks old. What can I put in my baby’s hair to keep it moisturized? it’s crucial that your daughter has a clean scalp so that her hair can grow healthy and strong. You can wash your baby’s natural hair each time you bathe her. How often should I wash my baby’s natural hair? If your baby is taking formula, you can choose healthy non-GMO formula with less hormones that can hinder your baby’s growth or cause health issues. If you are breastfeeding, you want to ensure your baby is eating healthy.Īs the mother, this means eating healthy foods such as the ones recommended in this post and taking your vitamins so that the breast milk your daughter feeds on has all the necessary nutrients needed for growth. You can however do certain things to help ensure your baby’s hair grows healthy and long. Since babies are growing every day, you really can’t do much to change the development of your child. This is mainly determined by genetics and the mother’s diet while she was pregnant. Some babies are born with lots of hair, while some are born with barely any. If the back of your baby’s hair seems like it’s not growing, you shouldn’t worry because it will eventually grow out when she’s old enough to change sleeping positions, and you feed her healthy meals that will facilitate this growth. You can however get your baby satin bedding such as a satin pillowcase or give her a satin sleep cap for babies. Since it’s recommended for babies to sleep on their backs to avoid sudden infant death syndrome, I wouldn’t recommend switching your baby’s sleeping position just for hair growth. However, if she’s always sleeping with the back of her head resting on a surface, that section of her hair won’t be able to grow as much as the rest of her head. Remember that your baby is growing every day, part of the growth she’s experiencing is hair growth. Since babies sleep most of the time during the first few months of their life, it’s crucial that you switch their sleeping position, so they’re not always sleeping on their backs. The sleeping and sitting position of your baby will affect her hair growth. Why do babies get bald spots on the back of their heads? These hairstyles are also tension-free, and they won’t pull on your daughter’s hair or damage her growing hair follicles.īefore we get into babies hairstyles, I’d first like to answer some frequently asked questions relating to caring for Black babies hair. You will notice that these hairstyles do not include hair extensions or any type of attachment that stays in the child’s hair for a significant length of time. Infact, these hairstyles are so easy, your husband, partner, or an older child can do these hairstyles on your baby’s hair. You don’t need to know how to do hair, let alone, how to do babies hair. These hairstyles are extremely simple for anyone to make. That is why in this post, I want to share some easy hairstyles for Black babies you can try on your baby girl’s hair. As a new mother, one of the things you have to learn about is how to take care of your baby’s hair. |
